If you have any problems with the site, or you find bugs, post them here. We're still kinda in a beta state and we want to make sure that the site is running correctly.
Bugs that I have seen in the past so far: 1) user login refused after registration (hiryu couldn't log in. had to register with different name and change the name afterwards) If you're having this problem email me using the E-mail given when you try to register. 2) Site taking a long time to load pages (seems to be host related at peak times. improved with compression change. Haven't noticed it since.) 3) extensive log graph doesn't work (it's hidden until it's fixed, so you won't see it) Fixed (thanks to the E-blah support team) 4) The chat module doesn't appear to support multiple themes as clean as I would like it to, especially since the new eblah will have more default themes. removed until we will actually need it and they update the code for the next E-blah. 5) firefox or Opera doesn't like to post redirect for some reason. changed redirect type to HTML and it seems to be working now.
Also, any feedback would be helpful as well, particulary in what features you might want to see in the future.
I made the topic in general TI stuff, and it sat there. So I hit it 2 more times, and nothing happened. I went to the index and it showed all three topics... Using Opera, if this helps.
I wouldn't worry about the other post, that's what merge topic is for (hmm. it likes to change the topic name too when you merge. need to change it back to it's original topic name.)
Any problems with IE?
Nothing yet from the support team. It should be something simple to iron out, since their site doesn't have the same problem.
bug: when you click the back button it redirect back to the current page if you posted in the thread, which is annoying, kinda like dot.tk domain redirections
then it will go back to the redirect page, then direct you back to the page you went back on.
apparently, firefox has logic that detects this and goes completely back, IE's logic is to stop altogether and warn you about going back might cause a double post, and opera just does a true back and goes back to the redirect page, which redirects you back to the last page you were at.
E-blah supports three redirects, location type (the recommended setting), direct redirect, and HTML redirect. Opera and Firefox hate Location type for some reason (when you hit post, nothing seemed to happen), and IE hates the direct redirect (it tries to download a file in IE7), so I chose the only redirect that all modern bowsers should support, which is the html redirect.
Most forums handle this with that "your message is posted, if you dont get redirected click here" page you get after you post. eblah doesn't use a page like this and sends a straght redirect, which is faster, but doesn't really give you feedback that thats what it actually is doing, so when you go back, you're actually going back to a blank page that redirects you back to the page you tried to go back on.
Hmm... not really much of a bug... but I think this board is set to European time or something... My b-day is not until tommorrow, and it is already saying that it is...
