I began working with TI-Basic several years ago when I got a Ti-82 for free. I learned to program it mostly for fun, but grew gradually more serious about it, learning as much as I could. Last year I invested in a TI-89 titanium, and began to do all of my serious programming on that. I can program in C++ and BASIC as well as TI-Basic. Most of my programming has to deal with mathematical modeling, but I have begun to work more into the interactive edge of it.

To everyone,
Greetings!

I have been working on a program that is similar to the program used in Dawkins book. Random inputed letters are converted in to a numerical format, and than randomized and loop until the word DARWIN is on the screen. the program is being written on a ti 89 titanium.

How Do I Fix My Sister's TI-83 Plus?

Recently, I was moving some boxes and one fell on the screen of my sister's TI-83 Plus. It has done no damage other than a small blue dot on the screen. I tried holding a pencil on the spot, then turning the screen dark as someone suggested with LCD monitor's but this hasn't helped.

In fact, the dots seem to have grown. What can I do? If you have any ideas, please let me know.

I have attached pictures of the spot.

Thanks for the help!
